Default Normal to have to calibrate wideband after 3 weeks?

ive had my innovate lc-1 installed for about 3 weeks now, and yesterday while i was logging i noticed some erratic readings. afr were going into 7's when in boost, and while idling it would jump around from 15-18. up until that day i was idling normally around 14.2-15.5. the sensor is mounted right before the near 90* bend on the downpipe at around the 9-10 oclock position, which puts it about 12-16 inches after the turbo. oh and i should mention the weather conditions were very rainy the day of the erratic readings. i plan on taking the sensor out to do a free air calibration sometime this week, but would like to know if this has happened to anyone else, for some peace of mind.

couple other (possibly) unrelated questions:
1. my afr goes static to 10.42 after a few seconds of being completely off throttle. is this just a error because the sensor cant read that lean?

2. i thought that injectors shut off when engine braking, but logs show inj duty at 4.x% when decelerating in gear. have i just been misinformed?

sounds like the sensor may be caput. not normal for it to acting like that.

I had that problem w/ my LC1. Mine was caused by the calibration wire grounding out, causing it to recalibrate itself while driving.

recalibrated today and all is normal. weird. maybe i hit the recalibration button by accident?

oh and i was hesitant to calibrate while engine braking because the utec logs show injectors at 4.x% as the revs are coming down, but according to cdvma at wrxhackers the injectors are off even though logs show otherwise. tried it, and idles exactly where it used to.

where did everyone mount theirs? i mounted mine right on the firewall behind the intercooler. could it be that water somehow got to it? i thought of that as i installed it but figured the stock scoop splitter would keep everything sealed.

ZT-2 for the win
i gave up with the Innovative units. I had too much trouble with them that i sent them all back and got the Zeitronics unit and been happy for the past 6 months with it

i was having some erratic readings also. called innovate. they told me the sensor needed to be at least 3 ft. from the turbo. i didnt notice the instructions mentioning that and i mounted mine right after the turbo on the top of my helix dp, maybe 6 inches back. so needless to say i fried the sensor.

ok, since you're a utec owner:

1) does the afr go steady above 5500 rpms or below it? below that point is ecu control, above that point is utec OLF control, and that will NOT shut off injectors even if the throttle is closed.

2) the utec has trouble showing zero IDC. as a result it tends to repeat the last non-zero IDC value when in fact the injectors are not firing. this will happen as rpms drop below 5500.
