Impreza WRX STi Sti Lug Question

I have an 05 STI and with stock BBS wheels. I have been told to not use tuner lug's because the bbs wheels tend to do better with the stock (rounded lugs). Is this true? What after market lugs could I get that would work fine? I was hoping to get blue lug nuts if possible.

Look at your lugs and only get replacement ones with the same style seat. I believe it's an acorn (cone) type. If you use the wrong type, you can damage the seat and possibly cause the lug nuts to come loose.

I wouldn't recommend aluminum lug nuts unless you plan on replacing them regularly. They fatigue over time even if they aren't at their ultimate limit unlike steel. Don't risk your safety for 'bling'.

suby dude has this image on the site, comparing stock lugs to aftermarket. Supposedly the stockers have a rounded seat, but looking at them you sure can't see it. I have been using McGard spline drives on stock wheels with no loosening or other ill effects as far as I can tell.
