Default Anyone running a PDX Custom Cobb Tune?

I saw on another thread that PDX tuning will send you a custom map for your modifications for $150.

I am at Cobb stage 2 with up pipe and Hyperflow TMIC and was wondering if this was a viable option. I understand that a custom tune would be better bit I live in Canada and the nearest shop (TDC) would be a 14 hour return trip plus tuning time.

So if anyone has gone this route or has some input I would much appreciate some feedback.

I may be wrong but I think they have lots of maps for different setups they dynotune for people. Just give them a call or E mail them. great bunch of guys and very helpful. They're out of the shop till next week but i just got a call from them about an email i sent them so someone is checking the mail.

I just got a few maps from them

A

-93oct High Boost
-low boost
-valet
-Anti Theft
-100oct race gas

Cobb realtime maps don't work with PDX basemaps so that is why I got the valet and antitheft maps.

I just got them on the AP and will take my car out tonight to report back results.

hmm that's the first I've heard of these. I wonder why real time maps won't work with them though that kind of defeats the purpose of the AP. Well at least some of it anyway.

- PDX realtime maps work with the PDX base map... Cobb realtime maps do not.

Okay I haven't dynoed it but I did get back from a night of fun. The semi-custom map is VERY smooth and pulls real hard. Loosing traction in 2nd is easy. I can't wait to try out the 100oct map!

Boost peaks at 19.2psi and holds at 17.7 !!!

They make it for your car. They ask what exact mods you have, what altitude you are at and even what brand of gas you use.

Although I've only had it a few hours, I recomend PDX all the way for people who don't live near a protuner!

I had PDX road tune my car. It is great, lots more power and it now takes full advantage of my mods. Tim is a great and knowledgeable guy.
It seems like it would be tough to do a custom tune without being in the car though.

How does that valet and antitheft thing work? I'm planning to get AP once my warranty is up and was curious to how that worked.

Default link to PDX

where are these guys? got a link? I've got an 02 REX with the AP. Can I get maps too? Why won't these maps work with realtime maps? The price seems right if you can't tune the car yourself, or are hours away from a ProTuner.
need a little help.

Did you just send your AP in to them and have them load all the maps? 2 weeks is no biggie, the weather around here sucks right now anyway.

No you call them up with your AP serial number and tell them your mods and what you want. They will email the maps to you.

You CAN run realtime maps... but just the PDX ones when the PDX base map is loaded onto your car.

So you can't mix COBB maps with PDX ones basicly.

The car is running strong.

Exactly! Mine will be shipped with the maps already preloaded and they even told me that if it doesn't seem right, they can make incremental changes and email the newly tweaked maps at no charge. I'm sure there is a limit to that - but still...beats the heck out of driving 5 hrs to Chicago or Detroit.

You cannot go wrong with PDXtuning. I have been a loyal customer for almost 2 years. The customer service and support is simply the best.

Oh and I have nothing to do with them I chose my nick on here before I became a customer or had even heard of them. I have had it as a Ebay log on for even longer.

I just ordered mine late friday evening. So I'm expecting them to be in the email tommorow when I get home from work. I'll be heading back to the track on Wednesday, to see how it runs.

My car sits now with a full catless APS 3" exhaust, APS catless uppipe, drop in filter, Perrin turbo inlet and IC hoses, and AP on stage 2/93 I've been pretty consistently running 13.5s @ 99.5 mph with 1.85 60 fts (I'm nice to my tranny ;o) I keep it under 5k when launching.

I feel pretty confident that if there is some power gained, it should show up at the track Wednesday.

I'll post my results afterwards.

Sweet. I can't wait to see your results.

I have yet to take mine to the dyno on their maps but the arse is telling me it smokes the Cobb stg2 map.

Anyone knows if PDX charges $150 for each map? do you get special discount if you order multiple maps from them?
