Default SCCA Solo II Nats on Hold Until at least Thursday

Due to the fact that the Nationals take place on Air Nat Guard land, the competiton has been put on hold until at least Thursday.

Wed Night at the banquet will be an announcement on what will happen.

Only heats 1 & 2 on the north course and heats 1 2 3 on the south happened.

All materials had to be removed from the area.

Everyones hearts here at Nationals go out to the victims, families, and friends.

Races were stopped after the end of the third heat. I was preparing the car when all the stuff was going on out on the east coast.
I drove back to Kansas City which is just down the road. Than to come home to see that they started to raise the gas prices. I went and gased up the car before that did that.

This is terrible for the US.

My prayers are out to everyone impacked by this.

This may now be a moot point, but the magazine's very own Per Schroeder is now co-driving the Cobb Tuning Street Mod WRX. I believe Per got one run before the event was stopped. If things go back to normal, I'll post some updates.

Thumbs up

I think everyone should give KC a big hand today in his effort to help others evacuate Forbes Field. He helped the Sube vendors put their stuff away and helped a CSL driver change tires. Way to go dude!

Hey, you helped too buddy.

Gary, you deserve the same amt. of thanks.

Also, SM got all their runs in. The south course finished heat 3 before they called it. They closed the North course after the walk throughs before heat 3.

I saw Per's run - I was there talking to Trey. He pulled a 52.7. Then, I left, as did everybody else...

We'll see where this tragedy takes the Nation.

The rumor is that the rest of the Tuesday and Wednesday drivers will make all their runs on both the North and South on Thursday and the Thursday and Friday will make their runs on Saturday and Sunday.
So I guess I will be coming back this evening.

Here's the beef from the SCCA. http://www.scca.org/amateur/solo2/na...eschedule.html
The people that have already made there first days runs. They are done with the Nationals. So the STS and the other that were going to run on Tues. and Wed. will get only 3 runs on the south course on Thursday. No idea when we will run. The drivers that were going to run on Thurday and Firday will do the same but on Friday only with 3 runs on the South course. THe north course is off limits cause it next tot he National Guard. That's it.
