OK first off I have 17 in Prodrive P1's in Anthracite as my summer wheels.
Question 1- One of the center caps fell off somehow and now I need a new one. How do I source this small item? Question 2- I want to put nicer lugs than stock ones, and ones that lock. What type should I get? Thanks.

Bman,
1) Try contacting Prodrive directly as I'm not sure any reseller would have these. 2) I went with McGard's spline-drive black tuner lugs/wheel locks: Excuse the crunchiness: Sorry but they're the best pics I've got for now. Bill |

I got my center caps from Gwinnett Subaru - any authorized Prodrive dealer should be able to source center caps for you. Just be ready to purchase four instead of just one.
Like Bill above, McGard lugs are the way to go ![]() |

I got replacement center caps from Prodrive directly.
I disagree on the McGard lugs. McGard splines are made for wheels that have really tight lug areas. Prodrive P1 wheels do not have small lug areas. In fact, P1's have extra space in the lug area. Use the space! I used bulge acorn lug nuts that have a larger seat area - just imagine your stock lug nuts, but wider. You can get them from Tire Rack cheap - cheaper than McGard splines and better clamping to boot. Gorilla also makes high quality bulge acorn lug nuts in a few colors as well as locking nuts. |

not to jack your thread but does anyone know the size wheel spacer that would be required to use STi brembos with 17inch P1s?

Yep. They're one of the few things I was able to salvage after the accident. They'll be going on my '06 OBP come springtime.

I have P1's...and now just in case I lose a center cap I now know where to get one !!!
I also switched my lugs to a spline drive, locking style. They were made by Motegi under the Gorilla name (IIRC) they are black and look much better on the P1's then cheesy chrome style nuts... Another hijack question...are their other choices for center caps for the P1's...? |

Prodrive makes a special P1 for the MY04 STi, which would also fit a wrx w/ STi brembos. Not sure on the offset though, and I belive they have a slightly differnt spoke pattern then the regular P1s to help with clearance issues. |

OK time to bump this again. Got a gift certificate for Amazon, want to use it to buy the lugs. Can anyone show me which ones will work with the P1's...so many choices. Also how about a good torque wrench?
here is a link for the lugs http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=...0&Go.y=0&Go=Go torque wrench http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=...omotive&page=1 Thanks, I really have no idea... |

The WRX takes 12mm x 1.25mm conical seat lug nuts. Beyond that, everything else is optional (locking or not, bulge or regular, black or regular chrome).
As stated above, I recommend bulge lug nuts (which Gorilla does make in that size) because the Prodrive P1 wheels have increased lug nut areas over stock, allowing you to use lug nuts with wider seating areas. Larger is safer. I would advise against the spline drive lug nuts because they are designed for wheels with decreased lug areas that are unable to accomodate even stock lug nuts. Smaller is not better if you have a choice. |

The McGard spline drives seat PERFECTLY into my P1's. I check them @ every 1,000 miles and they are always tight.
