Exclamation Help!

Ok, to make a long story short, I was installing my pink springs and rce camberplates, and one of the front struts on my 05, the threaded rod that holds the whole assembly together snapped!

I was wondering if you can swap the inserts between the 04 and 05 struts? If so, should I do both the front struts so the car is even? Should I do all 4 sturt insers?

I have a great deal on a set of 04 units, less than a new replacement for my 05 from the dealer.

I'd imagine they're very similiar, although I would get confirmation on this. Why not ask your dealer?

Go easy with the impact gun, those nuts don't need to be super tight (40 ft/lbs IIRC)

Dealer will always say no, that way you have to buy new.

Only one of 3 I had a problem with!

As a solution I ended up having to order a new one. Unless someone has a used driverside front strut for an 05 sti they want to get rid of cheap>

PM me if u do.
