Good find. Too bad a Nokian can't be put on that comparison list.

No love for the Blizzak Revo1's? Probably due to them only having 3 reviews so far.

Glad to see I've made the right choice. I've only had my M3's through one snow/slush storm and there wasn't much on the ground but they performed as expected.

What's impressed me is their behavior on dry and wet cold tarmac at all speeds.

I have the M3 and they have been nothing but great (3 winters so far). They are perfect for my driving (NYC winter)

And Boxologist's point, dumbass, was that anyone who is seriously interested in tires found that function, ohhhhh, about 10 years ago. Not to mention those numbers are pretty much garbage, as they're completely subjective. One only need go so far as to read some of the written reviews to realize that the motoring public often knows jack **** about tires, and hence will give numbers that are BS.

You've always had a gift for subtle humility, Pat.

How's Hawaii?

well with the amount of people here who have dunlop M3s including myself, that #1 rating is probably deserving. i also have owned / driven on graspic ds-1, original blizzack, blizzack mz-02, and studded pirellis. the M3s are the best compromise cause the dry performance is better than the re92s and i hated the squishy studless ice tires in the dry, but they were awesome in the snow.
i do agree however that some of the customer reviews are way off, but generally people that buy snow tires are not your average dumbass customer. people who buy snow tires know enough about tires to realize that all-season are not great in the snow and some will also run dedicated summer tire/wheels like many of us do.

The only people qualified really to be surveyed on a particular winter tire are those who have owned different brands of them. At their base function of winter traction they will be superior to all-season and I believe that is where some of the comparison comes from likely on most reporting back for better or worse.

Still interesting to read "reviews" by owners.
