My only mod right now is a GFB BOV that should be here on Thursday I just couldnt resist.

The next mod, is the making money mod. :P

I have many parts in mind, and will get all of them, it will just take time.

Next in line is: Injen Intake

(604) 980-2464

Talk to Steven Skinner.

if I do end up getting the car, I was planning on getting the full C-west kit along with the wing (man, I can dream)

but now, after carefully thinking bout this, I think I would go with just a front lip and rear lip, and maybe the stock spoiler (more money for exhaust, the HKS titanium one?? )

anyways, since questions seem to get answered faster here, whats the diff between a regular BOV and a sequential one?? like what advantages does the sequential one have, and is it necessary??

anyone know how much a 4 pt rollcage would cost??

some articles from STi offical web site, kinda off topic, but... anywayz...

Quote:
The April middle, the Hakone reed no lake skyline focusing on, the media test drive meeting which deals with the automobile specialized magazine was held, the STI brought 2 New Age in pressers. Below, explanation of two specifications Satoru's lighter/writer Saito who was testdriven impression is introduced.

Impreza WRX STI
TYPE RA tar Mack version

It is tar Mack which the STI part which is number full is equipped ideal shape. The connecting rod of the waterweed Lee steel, the transmission oil cooler of the crankshaft and the ラジエター built-in type which it nitrided processed, furthermore the mechanical cable type front LSD which is in the midst of developing, the lightweight flywheel and the strengthening clutch, you install approximately 60 type thing STI parts such as intake duct and sport muffler on inhalation and exhalation of air system in the engine and drive system. With the underside, the coil spring of the series-wound coming type which is in the midst of height adjustment standing upside down type attenuation power 9 step adjustment strut + developing which is in the midst of developing and the pyro upper mount which is in the midst of developing (front and back) et cetera installing, the Spartan which runs tar Mack fast it finished in specification.

Impreza WRX STI
Urban version

From the ワインダィングロード to the street, it sets to travelling possible specification with all scenes. In engine, inhalation and exhalation of air system and drive system intake duct, sport muffler, light/write tuning specification of lightweight flywheel and strengthening clutch et cetera. With the underside, inverted type attenuation power 4 step adjustment strut the coil spring of approximately 20mm ローダウン (the K:F=3.5kg/mm and the R=3.2kg/mm) you exchange. You install also the brake pad + stain mesh brake hose which is in the midst of developing. Such as RAYS aluminum wheel, sport seat and speedometer it finished in the specification which paid attention to also the exterior and interior.

Satoru's lighter/writer Saito whom it testdrove impression
Tar Mack version
It is fast, and bends well. When it keeps depressing the accelerator from the corner middle, in order the nose gouy gouy to be pulled, it keeps bending, as for understeer in the corner exit the extent which it is possible speaking completely it does not feel. When it is underside the impression of the whole, you think it has become the good setting where the driver of level above middle class enjoys. In regard to the engine, resistance of inhalation system being little, there is no flap impression of the turbo in the high rotary limits, the blowing rising is very smooth and sharp, it was the kind of impression where the power impression has come up clearly. In comparison with the normal in presser, is not the kind of speed which is surprised, but in the power impression good quality of feeling refreshing with there is a refreshing impression of saying.

Urban version
As the one for town riding you think it has become very good setting. When stepping on the road surface gap, while to put out also the shock relatively softly, being mild in the whole, it is finished in the suspension which tightens and has the impression. If the tire is inside the range where grip it has done, it bends gently if and, it becomes the revolving kind of territory where tack/tuck in is effective, because the rear flows moderately with accelerator off, it is easy to change the direction of the car. By the fact that positively accelerator control is done, it is possible to keep bending the car. Entire riding taste is a sense of security which comes from the good quality of the movement of the suspension.

w t f ?!?!?! babelfish eh? hehehe

Somebody ought to run Nostradamus through Babelfish. I suspect the translation will be, "Some 5h1t will go down, somewhere, and it will be big."

But I digress.

My mods? Far too numerous to mention.

Hey, Akord, are you jumping ship to the Scoobie camp? (Btw, I think I saw you drive on Pinetree the other night at around 7pm.) I'm the technical consultant for my sisters' car! BWAHAHAH!

My sisters' WRX currently has a Rev-Lab shortshifter with Momo Race Airleather knob... a Forge BOV is on the way (they sent us what appeared to be a used one so they're sending another one).

Before doing any power mods, I'm gonna get them a guage pod and at least a boost-guage.

T-REX, when and where are you ordering that INJEN Intake from? I found a site in the US selling it for $199USD for the silver, and $219 for the red or blue anodized one... I worked out the final price in Cdn. to be around $380Cdn (after taxes, duty, shipping)... Maybe we can order it together to save on the shipping!

My sisters want to lower the car next, which will be done come Spring-time (to avoid the snow and to save up!)... I'm looking at getting Koni Sports with Ground Control "sleeves"... anyone interested in a group-buy? I got the GC stuff for my DSM through a group-buy and saved a LOT of money. I would'nt mind organizing one.

Ultimately, they want to get some wheels/tires and an exhaust, and I think that's it... TurboXS's Unichip looks very tempting, but it's really "expensive"... the two of them cannot seem to agree on a rim though. hehe. I'm really interested in the M2 exhaust... seems to give a decent HP increase, looks to have nice craftsmanship in the pics, and sounds nice in the sound-clip.

What have YOU got planned Akord???

T-REX, AEM's making one now??? Do you have much info on it? Like, does it reach down as far as the Injen one, and is it as "fat"? SIZE does matter!! The Injen pics I've seen show a REALLY nice intake... according to i-Clubber testimonials, the fit-and-finish is excellent... and the price isn't overly crazy...

The wife and I go for Dim Sum almost every Sunday near the Coquitlam center, so I'm around that area once a week. I would be happy to come out to a Coquitlam meet, since Langley is just across the river anyway.

As the AWD gods always say,

akord: subarus do not like to be put into 1st gear when moving.

this is quite a difficult thing since the wrx has no bottom end torque.

if you MUST put into 1st when moving.. try double clutching.
u will still hear the whine.. but it will be better for the syncros.

T-REX: if it appears to be a short ram CAI...don't get it....my friend's didn't last more than a year and the weld breaks at the pipe and the bracket....he now got the long ram....

he called the customer service for AEM and they say is normal and that's the way it designs or sth?

Keiho: ur project car is too crazy....and ur gf is going to take over the RS, right? cool....

Orwin will be jealous....or he got the same stuff on order too?

Well, if my brother doesn't get the car he wants then yea, the GC8 will be his. If so, then my gf will drive it I guess...I'm still driving the GC8 anyway, the WRX isn't exactly driveable right now.

As for Orwin...a lot of the stuff is different on his. His order is coming in soon I think. Last he told me he said another 2 weeks? I can't wait to see his Haltech E6k setup...he told me he was deciding between the Trust turbo upgrade or the Blitz one.
