Angry Off topic: Some people disgust me

It seems like people who washes their hands after going to the washroom are all dead and people that doesn't wash their hands after going to the washroom dominated the whole world. I've seen kids to grannies doing the same. If you're a kid, fine, I will understand since you're still young, but if your like 30-50, what the heck? Did they forget the fundamentals of going to the washroom? It happens wherever I go too.
The world is disgusting and i'm grossed out.

And majority of people driving in Richmond thinks they are driving in HK.

I know what you mean bro. I'm so desensitized though... I pull hair out of my dishes at restaurants and just keep eating..

I know what you mean, just something you've gotta cope with though, you know...using paper towels to open the doors or ask your g/f to carry around some hand sanitizer... whatever

I try to avoid using public washrooms whenever possible

I walked into a public restroom at a famous players once and there was an old guy waddling around with his pants around his ankles... back out the door I went...

another time there was a kid taking a crap in a stall...with the stall door wide open...

I don't get it

Haha, I like how you snuck in that last part there :P And yeah, not washing your hands after is gross. Although, working at a mechanics shop I wash my hands like 15 time a day, guess for me its a forced habit now.

Tim

P.S. blah blah

I never get colds or get sick with xyz viruses (touch wood) and I grew up on a farm where it was compulsory to roll around with the pigs ! There is also too much clenliness.....your body needs exposure to a bit of dirt now and again.

This is why my public washroom routine is as follows:

- Relieve myself.
- Wash hands (with soap).
- Leave tap running while I get towels from the dispenser, careful to make sure I'm using only one hand to operate the handle.
- Move over to the sink and rinse off the hand that operated the handle.
- Dry both hands, then turn off the sink with the paper towel.
- Use said towel to open door handle and toss towel into the garbage before the door closes behind me.

What happened? You saw somebody who didn't wash their hands then he served you food or something?

The saddest thing is, even if you wash you hands after you go to the washroom, people who didn't wash their hands and open the door will leave the gems there. So after you wash your hands and open the door, it will be like not washing your hands at all!

Now imagine that person cooking your dounts .

In all seriousness though, I ALWAYS wash my hands after going to the bathroom, or rub my hair, or face...etc. Ever since working at Tim Hortons, My hands have never been cleaner.

Thank's Rosso_Corsa You saved me alot of time since that is my routine also. I always see a pile of paper towel just at the door as your leaving from people like me, It is soo futile to wash then use the door handel that all the non washing hand's use.

I'm a Hypochondriac

I'm still alive

But yeah, after I was my hands I would wait for someone else to open the door. Usually play the waiting game with that.

should add wash hands to the routine.

- Wash hands
- Relieve myself.
- Wash hands (with soap).
- Leave tap running while I get towels from the dispenser, careful to make sure I'm using only one hand to operate the handle.
- Move over to the sink and rinse off the hand that operated the handle.
- Dry both hands, then turn off the sink with the paper towel.
- Use said towel to open door handle and toss towel into the garbage before the door closes behind me.

but I only do
- Relieve myself.
- Wash hands (with soap).
- blow dry hands

This is funny, one guy complains that all he see's is people not washing their hands, so probabilities are that a huge percentage don't if that is ALL he see's. Now we have EVERY single person here that does wash up after. Somebody's lying.... :-)

Well, I think people not washing hands is also gross buts its more a perception thing than an actual public health threat. Because really when you think about it, some of the healthiest people are the dirtiest. Why? Self-immunization. Small amounts of foreign bacteria or viruses allow your body to recognize them and learn to fight them while in small quantities. Then, when the body is exposed in larger quantities, it knows what to do. Nail biters are a good example... ask a nail biter how often they get sick... probably not very often. Ask a germ-o-phobic or sanitization freak how often they get sick... probably frequently.

I know of a nail biter that got really sick for 2 months straight!!! Of course, there's always exceptions.

That is true though. I was in a Soil class, and my prof. was a tree hugger. He would say how much he loves trees and likes to dig his hands into dirt and mud and would eat dinner without wanting to wash his hands "cause a little bit of dirt is good for your body."

But then it's still gross.

Yep, no question about that. What bugs me even more is that most of the time people know they should wash their hands, they are just too damn lazy to do it... I despise laziness.

Uh Oh !!! You guys will love this one, I only noticed because of this thread.

Yesterday I went into a public washroom there was one other guy there after he finished he did not wash his hand's But he at least had the decency to grab some paper towel to pull on the door handle when he left W.T.F. So basically he's perfectly happy and know's the fact not many people wash he contributes to the problem but avoid's the problem at the same time.

**** this thread makes me want to avoid handshakes, door handles and interact pin pads/atm's.

Nothing worse when someone does wash their hands, but leaves a big puddle of water on the counter. Then, when you go to wash your hands and lean up against the counter, you get the water all over your crotch and it looks like you pissed your pants.

I agree , but I think it is EVEN more important to wash you hands before you eat any thing.....I notice more people not washing before eating that after the washroom.

there was a cool study about peoples cold/virus resistance, they compared people from the country (less sterile environment) V.S. people from the city (more sterile) and found that people from the country side had a far better resistance to virus and colds than city people
