Default Turbo XS TBE

I am debating between the Turbo XS Stealth back (catless) and the whole Turbo XS TBE (Catless) with the standard muffler not the rfl. I don't want anything to loud. All the sound clips i can find for the turbo xs tbe don't specify if they are the rfl or the standard muffler.

Does anyone have asound clip of the turbo xs tbe with the standard muffler?

What is the advantage of getting the TBE with the cat back piping over getting the stealth back piping and later upgrading the axleback?

I really like the sound of the stealth back with the prodrive muffler but i don't like the whole taper down to 2.5 bottleneck issues?

What is the size of the stock 2006 wrx axleback?

I've got a vid of it, but I need somebody to host it.

TXS catless TBE w/standard Dynamax muff. Lemme know.

I would get the full turboback exhaust. I bought their Stealthback and although I love it I want something a bit louder. A co-worker has their complete exhaust system with the magnaflow muffler (aka the standard muffler and not the RFL one) and it sounds great.

Mach V's website has an audio clip of the TurboXS TBE w/ standars muffler - http://www.fastwrx.com/turfulturexs.html

the only big advantage to getting the full TBE now as opposed to getting the Stealthback and replacing the axle-back later is you'll save a bit of cash getting it all at once and you can install it all at once.

A search can give you the answer for sure but I believe the stock WRX axleback piping is 2.25 inches.

The stealthback + prodrive combo is popular, i'm still debating between that and the TurboXS magnaflow. the 2.5" piping will rob you of a few horses compared to 3 inch piping but it's really not a huge deal.

TXS with Prodrive.

I just hung the Magnaflow - er, TXS Standard on the end of my catless Stealthback. I too had issues with the 2.5" inlet, but got over that fast. I'm lovin' it! Really no louder than stock under light throttle, but it raises eyebrows at WOT. It's something that a sound clip just cannot convey.

Honestly ttapering to 2.5 doesnt cause any kind of bottleneck until you are well over 350whp or higher.
If you arent going that high, its irrelevant.
The RFL is REALLY loud. Hence its name. If you like the sound of the prodive, you probably wont like the RFL.

100% correct! Turbo XS has dyno'd 450 whp with the tapered 2.5 exhaust.

Thats not to say they wouldnt have made 460whp on the 3"...

But like I said, you arent going to lose any power with the 2.5 up to at LEAST 350whp/
