Default Belated OMP x-mas present (56k no!)

I was gonna reward myself this christmas, but it kept on getting delayed due to various reasons. Nonetheless, it's finally done!

As you can see, it's an OMP steering wheel, 350mm (stock MOMO is ~390mm), black suede with titanium spokes.

Grip: Mad grip! Almost too much grip for normal driving. But I love it!

Response: With the smaller diameter, turning feels awesome! There is more feedback from the road too. It also feels heavier than stock.

Cons: Now the turn indicator cannot be reached without taking my left hand off the steering wheel because of the dish design that "pushes" the wheel away from the steering wheel column. Also, the airbag light is on which could be annoying to some, but I have a boost gauge right in front to block my vision of that light, so it's all good.

The reason I bought this wheel is because I wanted something different. I love leather, but I figure I might as well try suede. Loving it so far.

Props to Rocket Rally! Clean and quick install.

Nice! Although I'm not a fan of those racing wheels.. I like the really fancy looking ones with leather and wood and all that jazz.. if it would have a jillion buttons on it, it'd be wicked

Suede looks and feels great but be wary of wear and tear. They can get old real fast, mostly from the oil in your hands.

Racecars get away with it because the drivers always use gloves, but it's not always the best idea for road cars.

So keep that in mind.

Nah, you'd be cool! Put on a helmut too and you can look like the STIG

The Stig is the anonymous driver that test drives all the supercars and flies around their track on Top Gear, which is a British Motoring show on BBC 2. For those who don't know.

I figure they never show the 'Stig' cause it's never the same dood.. They just want to LOOK impartial.

The stig was always the same guy. A british race car driver. There are rumours that the new stig is female.

What hub are you using? Get a 3.3Ohm resistor and plug the ends into the airbag harness and voila, no more airbag light.

Yep, same goes for the airbag harness for the seats, worked for me when I swapped in a racing seat. I have an extra resistor if you need one.
