Default Cobb AP VF34 map

I am thinking of going with the VF34 in the spring. What I wanted to know was if the OTS map was good enough or would i need to get it protuned? The problem is that there is no protuners that i can see listed in Alberta Canada. Would i see a significant power gain with the OTS map(I am at stage 2 right now). I just dont want to buy a new turbo and pinks and find out that the OTS map wont work for me. Thanks

The OTS map will work it just won't be the absolute best it could be...I say go for it, then make a trip the nearest protuner when you get a chance...

the ots map will work fine. but getting it protuned will probably increase your power by quite a bit. i think it was 235whp pre-tune(OTS). and when i got ecutek tune, pretty much the same as protune, i got 271whp. plus its safer and smoother.

You should get it protuned.

Not all VF034's are created the same.

Depends on if you race it or not (and need that extra power) I think. It will be reliable either way though.

Yup protuned would be the best but there is none i can see in canada and it is a 14 hour drive just to get to the US border from where i live. Wont be racing this car is my daily driver. Iwas just real impressed with the stage 2 OTS map with my car i was wondering if it would be worth the price of the new turbo and pinks.
