Default utec or accesport?

hey guys whats going on, i have a 2004 sti with helix turbo back and i was just wondering what the power difference is with the accesport and the utec. i know the utecs are around like $900-1000. Is the accesport worth it for like $600-$650?

power should be the same for basic proformance parts. it all depends and the tune/tuner.
but with the access port you can run the cobb pre made maps and dont have to pay anymore other the the cost of the access port. and the utec you are going to need to get a custom tune so thats more money, but any custom tune will be better then cobbs conservative maps. not that there bad but they are safer tunes. but then you can get the cobb custom tuned and you'll be at the same power as the one with a utec for less money.

I'd say anyone who has to ask for others' suggestions should just get an AP.

Look at it this way... you OEM computer is Dynamic.. meaning that it changes the tune for the better based on the engine vitals. Using a utec you will no longer be "dynamic" the utec will give you a static tune. So the set values stay those set values. Dynamic is a whole lot better because different road (loads) and weather conditions need changes to be made to your tune.
So the accessport will give you the reliability and as much power as the utec if not more.
