Default vf22 problem

hey im running a vf22, jdm sti pinks, and a walbro fuel pump with a stock wrx intercooler for this winter. I already have a fmic ready for install but i want to wait on that since i wont really need it until the spring...i loaded turboxs's stge 4 map with the stge4 param. and now my car runs like ****. There is knock and when i punch the car at about 5~ rpm there is either a turbo spike or a fuel cut....anybody have this problem or a solution? I know the best would be to slap on the fmic and tune it but i dont have the money right now....any suggestions would help,

thanks,

are you running the new 5.0 stage 4 map and parameters with 4.2? i did the same thing and my car ran like crap untill i found out that 5.0 parameters dont work with 4.2 so i flashed in the new 5.0 firmware and my car ran fine

The basemaps are just that, basemaps. You need to make adjustments if it knocks. The U in UTEC is "user".
