Default ecu likely to have ecutek?

this is interesting to me. i picked up a jdm ecu a while ago and it's been sitting in a box until recently.

i googled the numbers on the ecu and surprisingly came up with a couple of links. here is whats on the ecu itself

4L (large letters)
22611AH190 (white letters surrounded by black box)
112200-3771 (right under the black box)
*223771M* (under the barcode)

and these are the google results

http://forum.ecutek.com/post.asp?met...309&FORUM_ID=4

http://www.wrxhackers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6102

since i don't know what any of these numbers mean i'm stumped, but the main number matches the post on the ecutek forum, and according to the 2nd link it looks identical to the numbers on the ecu i have.

any thoughts? does each ecu have different numbers, or just different sub numbers or something? i tried to contact the poster on the 2nd link (via aim) but no luck.

Just to clarify, there is no way to know if an ecu is reflashed by EcuTek or anyone else without examining the contents of the ROM. Unless they put an additional label on the case indicating so. All of the numbers you posted are standard case markings.
