Thumbs down Possible Car Problems

Grinding sound coming from front of car, sounds like it might be the altenator. Sounds like sandpaper rubbing on metal, kind of a buzzing sound..

And no, its not the Scooby.

Your car's been having issues lately. Can you successfully track the noise to the alternator? It shouldn't be too hard to isolate. I can help out this weekend if you need it.

yotsuya is right.....Try and isolate the problem....
does it happen while braking, during start up, while cruising, while turning, when the motor is cold or hot?.....then pinpoint the area in which the noise is comming from.
