I am about to buy a utec and was wondering if i should buy a boost controller as well. I read that utec controlls the boost as well but i also see somany people saying they have a boost controller + the utec?? My question is what would a boost controller do if you have a utec?? And how would you use it in conjunction?? this is prob a stupid question but its driving me crazy, because i am not sure if i should buy both or just one (oh yea i already have a perrin electric boost control thats going to be use instead of stock for the utec)

The BC in the UTEC is pretty decent. It probably doesn't work as good as some of the boutique (read: $$$) units like the DTEC or AVCR, but it works.
Adding a new solenoid helps (your Perrin unit). The UTEC will control the new solenoid just fine. |
