I ordered a grill logo and 2 spoilers, the grill logo got to me quickly, the spoilers I waited 7 weeks when I was told I would get them in 3 weeks. I called a few times and they told me 2 more weeks each time. So I canceled the order after 7 weeks and will get my parts from somewhere else from now on.

'bout ASR is that I asked them to ship my Kartboy mounts via US Postal Service. They shipped through UPS to me in Canada, and UPS being UPS tacked on a $40 "brokerage fee" - another way to rip me off. Anywayz, my gripe is mainly with UPS, not with ASR. They shipped me the mounts very quickly.
LaterZ! Darren!! ps - Vendors - when shipping to Canada, please ship things via the methond we ask for!!!!!!! |

I've had nothing but trouble with iSR. I ordered a v6 lip from them and was told they expected a new shipment in a week. I called back a month later and asked what was going on. Apparently they had forgotten to send it.
Fine. So I ordered a 5Zigen Fireball exhaust from them and was told a new shipment was in and only awaiting unpacking. After weeks of excuses about the piping being wrong, claims that my parts were shipping that day or had already shipped and then being given _invalid_ tracking numbers and only getting a response from iSR when I bashed them on the i-club, I cancelled the order. I've had delays from other vendors, but they've never lied or otherwise misled me like iSR. Maybe they've gotten their act together in the past few months, but I'm not going to find out. Ben |

I have problem with ISR too, first time to do business with them. I ordered my turbosmart bov on 8/24 and have not received it yet. I sent two emails to inquire, on 8/27 the first reply is "the shipment should be here in about 3 days. It will ship the next day." and the reply 4 days later is "It left it should arrive in a few days."
the online order should have been done more organize. An automatic confirmation email should have sent out as the order goes through (to let consumer verify that the vendor got the same information as consumer sent, who knows what happen during the transfer), another email should have sent out when the product is shipped and tracking numbers should have given for consumers to trace (so we know it is UPS that is slow, not the vendor). ![]() added following in edit Subie Gal, I am totally confused, I never get any information or schedule date. Do I have to buy more or be popular in this board to be treated better? Last edited by fullvision; 09-06-2001 at 10:52 PM. |

I don't buy a lot of parts from other places besides my "chosen one". But, if I ever need anything, I call Pam. Also, Ed is also a great guy. When I was working on my Project RS, I called him few times to ask tech questions and he gladly helped me out.
Sometimes they might not have everything in stock, but no one does. At least in Subaru aftermarket. We are a weird bunch. ;0 |

Thank You for the compliments & the non compliments. We have had our share of mistakes like any vendor, but we really do try our best.
I am a stocking vendor but we are very busy & run out of parts very quickly. It is hard to estimate how much to order, you never know what you will need a lot of from month to month! Pam |

ISR (Pam and Ed) are good people that have lives outside of just their business. Pam tries her best to answer questions and so does Ed. be advised that there are three people working hard to meet your needs and please be patient and understanding. They have helped me out on many an occasion when I just showed up and have been nothing but friendly and courteous...yes even when I linger and bug them with dumb newbie questions. Thanks Pam and Ed.

No problems with iSR. Although I only bought a front badge, she let me know when it was coming, that it was going to be late and it still got to me early. They're doing a fine job.

I just had some rear spats installed today at ISR, and even though there was a misquote on the estimate on the install (nothing too major), it's forgivable because of the quality of work they do in their little shop. I give em a thumbs up.

Well, while i have not been a high dollar customer with ISR, i still expect some decent service.
Well over a month ago, i called and ordered a few parts to make a gauge install a bit easier for my WRX. I ordered an oil plug, and the T fitting that is needed to hook a fuel pressure gauge into the stock lines. I was at work when i ordered these parts, and wanted to make sure i could install the parts on friday afternoon, but didn't really have any time to spend searching for the parts between the time i ordered them (wed afternoon) and the time i had set aside to install them. I paid extra for shipping to make sure that these "instock" parts would be at my door on friday morning. In fact, the shipping was more expensive than the parts i had ordered. Come friday afternoon when the parts still had not been delivered, i gave them a call... The story i received was that they were waiting on one part and would ship my order as soon as this part came in. I asked to talk to Pam (brandon i think answered the phone) and was put on hold for what seemed like forever. Finally i hung up and started trying to locate at least one of the oil plugs from my local subaru dealership. With no success in getting the part from the dealer, i really should do a review of their parts department, but i will save that for another day, i had pretty much given up. On tuesday or so Brandon calls and says they have the parts now do i still want them? I said yes please send them out. Finally the parts are in my hand. The afternoon i received the parts i started working on getting the oil pressure gauge working. I pulled the intercooler off and finally got the stock plug off that the part from ISR would be replacing. Turns out that my REX has a taste for oil plugs and other nuts and bolts. I dropped it somwhere in the engine compartment and after looking for like 2 hours i gave up. I put the stock plug back into place, and called ISR the next day. This time i requested they send me 3 of the plugs. 1 for my install, one for a friend, and a spare in case either of our REXs decide to eat a plug again. Pam stated that she only had one in stock. I asked her to overnight the one they had, and to send me 2 more ASAP. I also asked that if this was going to be a long ordeal for her to just give me the part numbers and i would buy the $10 (their price, i doubt its that much from subaru) part direct from subaru. The response was not exactly a laugh, but it was "we spent too much time reasearching this part to just give the part number out" Ok, i was a little hacked, because i knew i could get the part at the dealer, but i figure i'll take one of the new ones in, get the part number and just post it on the I club... its not like this is a big money maker around ISR... I received the new plug as promised, and this time the install went fine. There were a few moments where i thought i would drop the plug, but was able to get it installed without incident. I waited about 2 weeks and i still had not received the second set of plugs. So gave them a call. I told brandon that i had ordered a few plugs and had not received them. He said they would be sent right out. 2 more weeks go by, and i send an email to pam asking her to send out those plugs as i still have an install waiting on them. Finally about 1 week later i call. I get brandon, and i ask to hold for pam. Finally she comes to the phone, and i explain exactly what had happened. After a little bit, she tells me that she is sorry, she had forgotten about the plugs, but that she had just checked with shipping and they were sent out last week after my email. I asked for a tracking number (hey its the only way to really know) She said "would you like me to call back with that?" I said "nope, i'll hold." About 7 minutes (based on my cell phone's clock) went by, and then i got disconnected. I called back. I think Ed answered this time and he said "she is still looking for it, do you want to hold?" I said yes (starting to wonder at this point... i mean she just "checked with shipping"). After a few minutes, Brandon comes to the phone and says she is having a hard time finding it. I asked for them to email me at nmyeti1@home.com with the tracking number as soon as it is found. This was monday... still nothing. Not the best customer service if you ask me. -Nathan |

I ordered EBC Reds last week. I don't know who I talked to, but it certainly wasn't Pam. They told me they were in stock. I got them yesterday. Good enough for me. My only experience dealing with ISR, and it was a good one.
Especially since the last vendor I had talked to regarding EBC Reds (a local tuning shop) had told me that there were no EBC Reds in the country for my car, they they were lost at UPS, that "oh, I though you wanted yellows", bla bla bla. Thumbs up ISR. ![]() --Roy |

Everyone has their bad days and runs out of stock or messes up once. We vendors deal with 100 of calls and orders a day and sometimes things happen. The 1% of time something happens there are 99% of things we do good.
Sorry for your bad experience, however ISR is a reputable company for many years when most of us drivers did not even have a learners permit. Good job Pam! Vivid Racing. |

Your order went out & in light of what has happened lately everybody is delayed in shipping. I have parts that are in Alaska
& yes I am upset because I don't have them, but it is a minor tragedy. I stock a certain amount of these plugs & lately they have been going very fast & even though I order more each time I can't keep them in stock. Sometimes I have to look up the tracking numbers manually, which as much as we ship out can take awhile, especially when I am constantly on the phone. I can check on Monday to see where your package is & someone will call you, but it has been shipped! Pam |
