Post Release of new Legacy exhaust coming very soon!

Well, here it is. A product which is being launched exclusively for the Legacy line of cars.
After alot of time spent testing different systems and mufflers, we have decided that our exhaust is ready for production and will be available by March 2000.

The exhaust will feature 2.25" or 2.5" (customer's choice), mandrel bent aluminized tubing which is heat treated and coated for corrosion protection. This will be a full cat-back set-up, utilizing either an Apex-i N-1 or HKS Dragger muffler (customer's choice).

Systems will be available for 90-99 Legacy sedans and wagons.

The reasoning behind this: We have grown sick of having no available parts for the Legacy, and look to change that all very soon.

We also have two more suprises in the works for Turbo Legacy owners!

Any idea of the price at this point?

What about for just the mufflers??

Nice to have someone "pushing" for Legacy parts!! It's about time!

I LOVE YOU TRI nah but i'm finnaly happy to find someone building a good exhuast for the older Legacy. I didnt really want the 2.5" cat-back from JC sports thats a lil to big for n/a, and i dont think they coated thier system at all. I cant wiat.. got a price estimate on that with the NI muffler at 2.25?

Randy,

Yes! We will be working on a system for the MY00 Legacy within a few weeks. The system for the Legacies, 90-99, will be completed either Saturday or Monday. We will post a picture of the system to the board as soon as it is done.

Pricing is not completed yet, but it WILL be cheaper than any of the current exhausts available.

Well, good! This is the first that I have heard about anything for the 2k's... (except for Jim's custom)... It sounds like you will be a few months off, and that is just as well, because I have *no* money for my car for a while...

Have a Nice Day?

Jim -

Ask him if he can hold onto it for a little while (maybe a month or so)... I am *really tapped right now... (Just bought a Computer, a Sony Digital8 camcorder, put 1/2 down on wedding invitations, owe the photographer 1/2 so he will "pen us in", and car payment next week, oh yeah we need to buy Kim's ring ).

I'd love it though...

Miller, it is funny that you mention that! Shortly, within a month or two, we will be fitting a cage to a 99 Legacy and a 90 Legacy. I assume that their are no interior changes between the First Generation Legacy L's and the Legacy turbo's? Also, as soon as we get this turbo motor, we are going to go for a front mount intercooler. Also, a downpipe may be in the works soon.

I'm so Happy to hear that your company will make the downpipe and the roll cage soon!!
I would like to fit the downpipe before I install the turbo booster and intercooler(those pasts are already at my hand (^=^)hehe)also if the roll cage could fits to my 92 Legacy turbo would it still could sit 4 or 5 people like normal?????
COuld you please pose the price of the downpipe for the Legacy turbo when it release (better with shipping cost to Toronto Canada)
Enjoy your Subaru!!

so the DOWN pipe would bolt from the Turbo and extend how far?? my 3inch exhaust starts about 6 inches from the turbo, just past the O2 sensor. I had a flange welded on the the stock pipe that goes from the standard 2.25\2.5?? pipe to the 3inch, to a highflow cat and then to a Flowmaster rear can. TRI, do you have a WEB page?? and a phone #??

also, do you thing a strut bar would help the handling?? and the Dash squeeks?? if so do you guys think you'd be interested in making one??the Strut bars that I've seen will not clear the A\C pipe thats on the passenger side strut tower. seeing as your intercooler will be front mounted and not above the engine I would have room then.

while I'm on a roll, if we install a intercooler what would we have to do to get the blowoff valve to vent into the atmosphere?? change the AFC?? currently it goes back to the intake charge it'd be cool to hear that pfft!! sound....(Just the RICE in ME)
Speaking of the AFC has anyone installed one on their Turbo?? I know when I'm on it really hard at red line the rev limiter shuts it down but I has wondering if the car was leaning out like some other cars do with the aftermarket intake. do the AFC's have a sensor that tells you of the condition so that you can adjust the AFC as needed??

thanks.

Miller, to vent the BOV to the atomoshere, you need an adjustable BOV so you could tighten the spring inside and it will not open as quickly. This way, the vacumn at idle will not be enough to open the BOV, thus, no air leaks.

Miller, technically, I guess it should recirculate the air. Being that the ECU supplies enough fuel for the air that passed through the MAS, if the air is vented to the atmosphere, the ECU still added fuel thinking that air was going to make it into the combustion chamber. So for a split second when you let off the throttle, you'll run rich, again, for a split second. That does not really pose a problem as far as I could see. If anything, maybe running rich for that second would actually help things cool off a bit. If I ever get a metel intercooler pipe made, I'll probably have an adapter put on it to run an aftermarket BOV and vent it to the atmosphere. But that's not in the near future so it's the stocker for now.
