I got a line on an automatic silver parts car if anyone buys this...too bad it's in Delaware.

My brother in law's MX6 just finally died and they got a new 3.5L Altima SE for cheap.

Have David do a 1/2 detail on it...put a tape stripe down the middle and detail one 1/2 and leave the other all faded.

Perhaps thats the new exterior thing for 2006.

However I would rather Maaco the entire vehicle as is for a couple hundred, but I'm not.

I had a red 89 mx-6 gt from 95-97. I loved it. The coolest feature was the oscilating center vents. Do they still work?

Does it have the OEM subwoofer? They are a whopping 6 inches and located under the passenger seat.
These are really fun daily drivers and quite effective for autocross. For practicality, the rear seats fold down for tons of cargo capacity. The small stock turbo makes for very responsive power from 2500-5000 RPM. At 140,000 the engine has plenty of life left, the compression numbers prove that. With a compression ratio of 7.8:1 and the engine being endowed with a strong block, crank, and rods - a lot of boost can be thrown at it, so the IHI RHB5 isn't even making it break a sweat. The pistons are hypereutectic which is either good or bad, depending on who you ask. But I haven't nor anyone I know of has had any problems with them. I've seen blocks with 250,000 miles on them that still had the cross-hatching in the cylinder bores.
With 14 PSI (up from the stock 7-9.3 PSI) of boost, 2.5 inch exhaust, and a $80 aftermarket EPROM that eliminates boost cut and optimizes the fuel mixture, you can expect around 190 WHP and 270+ ft/lbs. (about 225 HP and 320 ft/lbs at the crank) That's all the stock turbo has in it, anything more will just produce useless hot air.

Here's a MX-6 that I had for a while, it had that particular chip. But I sold it because the underbody was rotted out pretty bad. But it's still being driven to this day with about 190,000 miles on it.

I'll have to give it a look to see if the subwoofer is under the seat.
I agree that the motor has potential for a strong daily driver, however like you had with yours the undercarriage is rotting/rusting out.

This vehicle would make a great winter runner.
