Default ej22N/a into a legacy gt with ej25?how difficult?

***Pictures added**

Hey guys, well a guy down my street has a green 98 legacy. its an auto 2.5GT with about 90k miles on it. Anyway, its been sitting for about 2 months and my gfs mom was walking their dog and he said he wants to try and get rid of it. anyway, i talked to him for the first time today and he said hes trying to get rid of it for cheap. he tried to start it and it would crank but it would not turn over. he said before the car stopped working he said he drove it on a 400mile trip with no problems, just he had a leak from his headgaskets...duh. anyway one day the car doesnt start or it stops on his wife, he doesnt remember. i checked the oil and it was very low but not completely gone. anyway, i have an ej20g that i want to drop into my 96 impreza coupe so ill have my ej22 auto to drop into this car. how hard would it be to swap? could i use the ej25 ecu with the ej22? if alot of wiring is involved id rather not. ill just have an ej22 thats leaking oil out and i would just throw it away since noone would probably want it so i thought id try and make some use out of it. my ej22 has 104k miles on it and runs great just leaks. if not, does anyone know what the problem could be with the ej25? or else....would anyone want to buy the legacy gt? consider it a rolling chasis with the possibility of it being fixable. its green with the multi spoke wheels. interior looked in good condition still. ill probably take the rear discs and swap my drums onto it before i do anything with it though. if not, i am open to parting it out. please any help, info, or interest would be great. thanks

Right, 5-6k is for a running car. Even though most of us can fix it for cheap, if I were to buy it, I would deduct the $2500 it would cost someone to have a mechanic make the repairs! Too bad I bought a car last night. I really did want to buy a GT this spring and this sounds like a prime candidate. I would have paid $3500 for it and shipped it if it's rust free...
