Default 235's on an 8 inch rim?

about to order me some 18x8 rims. i was thinking 235's. new to the tire/rim stuff.

im on 235/40/17 on 17x8. i had rubbing problems, but that cause i was slammed. u shouldnt have problems at all. what are u going to be using these 18s for?

just cruisin around town. im not into auto x or anything. its my daily driver.

you wont have problems on a stock or slightly lower stance.

as long as u dont get the tein springs, u wont be rubbing on anyother spring/shock setup

im getting crucial springs. only lowers 1 and a 1/4 in the front and an inch in the back.

This may seem like a dumb question: If you don't autocross (or race at all) why the huge tire. It's easier to go with 225 45 r17. Bbut definitley get 8" rims that way if you decide to roll the fenders, etc. you can go with 235 or 245. I run 225s on my 8" rims on my 2002 wagon. I would have gotten 245 but the 225s rub occasionally; 245 would eat thru my fender.

235 is a huge tire? On a sedan it will fit fine with no fender rolling needed and give a little bit better gearing too.
