Default Is it safe to use no muffler with a Cobb Stage 2 Map?

I made a simple dual 3.5" straight pipe to replace my carbon-ti at the flange. I was curious if this would cause any problems with my Cobb Stage 2 map.. I made it to screw around, but I still need to go WOT sometimes too. It couldn't possibly cause high EGT's or anything like that, could it?

Technically it goes from 3" into a 3.5" y-pipe that splits the exhaust gasses into two 3.5" pipes.

I'm the paranoid type that worries. Should be fine, eh?

I did a search on "straight pipe" and apparently its O.K to run a stage 2 straight off of the downpipe, but since I have some extra piping and sometimes a straight pipe can have more backpressure than a muffler, I was a bit puzzled.

Thank You In Advance.

you should be perfectly fine. if anything it would probably reduce egts a bit. thats about as much as i can tell you.

on a side note, i am very intersted in what you have done with the straight pipes. how did you do this and how much did it cost?

Boost will rise a bit faster and it's unlikely your tune will not compensate for that.

Hehe.. well maybe if I can get to it, i'll post a picture..

Kinda loud, if Unabomber was here i'd meet up with him to get some dB samples. I'd surely get pulled over. A friend had an old TIG so I just asked him to weld me some stuff.

Finally found time to post the picture up.

I did it for kicks.. I don't mind the loudness but it really hurts other people's ears when I drive next to them.. how I know? I asked a friend to drive by for me

I think it cost me about $40 but a friend had a TIG. He was nice enough to do it for me as long as I supplied him with rod.
