Default My 02 Wagon 4 Sale

Looking for quick sale e-mail or pm to discuss price!

Here is a link to pics: http://photos.yahoo.com/rocky2nurfc

I have an 02 WRX Wagon with 78,000 miles. I am the second owner of this wagon. I wold say over 75% of the miles are highway. The car has numerous power and suspension mods. I will list those below. I will have pics up in the morning. I am only selling this because we are getting ready to start a family and I think we will better off in a Forester (the woman prefers the Forester over the WRX ). The only thing this car will need in the near future is brake pads. The car was involved in one accident if you want to call it that. This girl in a brans new Mustang backed into me in a parking lot . No damage whatsoever except for the paint transfer. Her insurance picked it up but I haven't taken the car over there yet. That is all I can think of. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Default How do I part out

The insurance co. is coming tomorrow. The rear is really banged up so I don't know what they are going to do. Can I just start pulling off my mods before they get here or how does it work?

I was totally pissed and dissapointed with this whole thing. My landlord is going to pay my deductible and it will get written of as (not my fault accident). I am assuming that means no rate increase

It should be considered a "no fault accident" and I don't think your rates will go up. As far as pulling mods off the car now... did you tell your insurance company that you had the mods on the car? Are you paying extra to insure the mods? If not, you can probably start taking them off the car.

Mike,

I appreciate the info. When I had the car insured they asked if I had made any modifications and I said yes. They never asked about specifics though? So I don't know exactly what that means? If I can part it out, I definitely will. I have a HUGE list of aftermarket parts and I have all of the stock parts with it. I will keep you posted. Here is a link to some of the damage. I think the rear suspension may be affected (the car is sitting alot lower in the rear than it was before).

I will keep everyone posted as I get word from the insurance company. Alot of the parts on the car are almost brand new but I will keep you all informed. I may need help getting it all off when it comes time.

Thanks

I had a car totalled once (deer jumped out in front of me). After the ins co came and did their estimate, I got notice they were totaling it, and were sending a check. I needed to make arrangements for them to pick it up within a certain amount of time. You likely have a bit of time, but if they do the estimate based on the aftermarket parts, they'll expect them to be there when they get the car. If I recall correctly, they asked me what work I had done to the car recently, and about aftermarket stuff when doing the estimate.

Default Thanks for the Info

I truly appreciate the info. So if I understand correctly they will take into account the work that was done. I have all the documentation for the added parts that were installed on the car (big things). I guess I will just have to wait and see what the insurance says. Thanks for the info guys.
