I'm planing on going to a stage 2 next spring. But instead of switching back and forth from the stg 2 map to the STX map all the time I was thinking of just leaving the STX map in. What I'm wondering, is there any adverse affect to running an STX all the time? Does anyone else do this?

I did it for a while, and I didn't notice any problems. A better solution, however, is to load a stage 2 base map and simply switch realtime maps. You can change to the STX map for autocross and switch back to stage 2 for daily driving.
If you're thinking about this for fairly serious autocross (divisionals or nationals), you might want to do more research on current opinions on the legality of the AccessPort. Last I checked, a lot of "authoritative" people didn't think the AccessPort was STX legal. |
