Default cobb protune or ecutek protune on 06?

I just made an appointment with topspeed to get my car dyno tuned on feb.
I will be doing it either with cobb ap and TBE or ecutek and TBE.

-cobb stage 2 (ap and their tbe with NO dyno tune)is $1820 shipped
-ecutek and turboxs tbe and the dyno tune is $1850 items shipped

so it makes sense to go with the ecutek system and tune all at once.
what im worried about is about the compatibility of the ecutek with 06 i don't know if ecutek will be any different for the 06 specially if getting dyno tuned.
i know the quality of cobb is amazing and i really trust, i don't really know much about ecutek, its just that the tunning shop suggested to use ecutek although they tune both.
what would you guys suggest im not too familiar with ecutek and i don't know what to expect. i also don't want anything to break in time, i know cobb is conservative and i like that.
should i expext the same hp and tq coming from both systems?

You know any old turboback will work with Stage II, right?

It doesn't HAVE to be by cobb, in fact, it makes no difference.

It just depends on what you want to do. If you plan on staying at an equivilent of Cobb stg. 2 for a while and then maybe following their plans later the AP may be you best bet. Also, if you want to be able to read any CELS and switch to multiple maps at any time it would be a good choice. Now to add even more to think about, do you have a protuner in your area? If so you then have the option of having custom maps made and still having the option of changing them at you will and reading cels.

On the otherhand I believe an Ecutek tune should run about $500 to $600 for the license and first tune, and maybe $150 to $200 for subsequent tunes. Plus you'll have the added benefit of a custum tune from the get go.

Right now I'm still deciding myself. My problem comes that I have an excellent Ecutek tuner in the area and no reputatble protuner. However the ecutek tuner is thinking of becoming a protuner. If he does I will definately go Cobb.

.....d0000d....ya gonna waste a TON of $$$ if ya don't watch it with buyin' stuff ya don't really want or need.....ya lookin' to waste ~$500(or more) right there.

...and as far as the EM goes....a dyno tune is always(if yer tooner is any good, anyway) gonna be better than any off the shelf map......the AP can be tuned by YOU if ya buy the Street Tuner software....the ecutek, not.

Well, either way, a custom dyno tune is always for the best. You decide whether you want to use the AP or ECUtek for the custom tuning. With a custom job, it's all the same quality.

Depends. Their OTS map does have a specific target psi. If you get a protune, that could vary depending on the situation. And with an Ecutek tune it could vary a little as well. Bottom line no matter what EM you use, given a certain set of mods, and the best tune possible from different EMs will result in similar numbers. Meaning EGTs, AFRs, Target boosts, etc.
