God damn!! That really sucks Andrew....we should patrol Rose one day to see who has it on their car cause only a few cars that I know of have them....

Oh yeah by the way, when I left at 12:00 pm, I believe they were still on your car as I went past your car.

I had my front signal lights stolen at U.C. San Diego ... TWICE! On my Sentra! Bah.

Go to a j-yard and stock up on em ... that's what I did. Nothing you can do about this really.

I'v managed a way to wire the sidemarkers to my alarm system. It works quite well. I could show you guys one day, its quite a simple concept, however, the wiring part does take some time and the more people that know about this, the easier it will be for them to figure a way around it.

Necro: I'd stock up on sidemarkers too but unfortunately Andrew has aftermarket clear sidemarkers that are only worth about $70 dollars...

Lightbulb Hmm..

Sorry Andrew..

It would be great if we could wire our alarms to our sidemarkers.. or maybe even install a little pressure sensor thingy that senses pressure when the sidemarkers are being tampered with..

Sucks man..
Ken.

Edit - hehe.. I _just_ read what AcidRox wrote.

Why not? You could piggyback on the light wire, so when it's disconnected the car goes ape-*****. Not hard to do...

But then again.. when the alarm goes off, they'll just yank that one sidemarker off.. leaving just one behind.. unless they got 2 ppl stealing it at one time.

Our sidemarkers are defenceless.. they need to learn karate or something.. better yet.. just super piggyback that sucker and give the thief a big shock when they tug on it!!

I was actually supprised as to how sensitive my trigger was, it sets the alarm off before you even get a chance to pull it back all the way. Also, I found that the "plastic spring" part of the original sidemarker (the one that comes with the car) is much more stiff than the one that comes with the clear ones (well, mine atleast) it even takes me a while to get the side marker off. I had so much trouble taking it out in the begining because I had forgotten to switch the clear bulb with the amber one....stupid me..

- the point of the spring explaination: you should unscrew the spring from the original sidemarker and switch it with the clear one.

But if they take your clear sidemarker off and the alarm off won't they just rip your whole light bulb socket off instead of carfully removing the light bulb and cause more damage?? But I think it is a good idea though..

Alan: I think you're rite and it wasn't an impreza owner cuz we would find them for sure... I think they took it for their friend or is selling it to another impreza owner... so if anyone is selling a set of clear markers w/o a box or blubs.. ask them where they got em..
