im about to order some wheels, but as of now im undecided on 17 or 18, is it that much of a difference? what would you go with and why?

Are you going for "looks" or practicality. ....unless I had a brake set-up that justified the need for 18's, I would go with 17's. ...typically lighter, better ride quality, etc. A search would reveal many discussions on the subject.

I went with 18"s. I like the look and it gave me more options in picking my big brake kit. The smaller side wall improves handling but gives you a rougher ride. I would not suggest 18"s if you have poor road conditions in your area. It's easier to bend a 18" when hitting a pothole (due to the shorter side wall). If your careful in picking your wheel you can find plenty of light weight 18"s.
