Default Aftermarket Parts in Vancouver (warning... newbie)

I'm kind of new to the modding scene, been doing a lot of reading up on the fourm but not much time spent hands on or really shopping....

So, I'm just about ready to purchase a new car in few weeks and am seriously considering the impreza 2.5i (the other car in consideration is the honda Civic Si). I know the WRX is nice but I just can't bring myself to pay another 12k upfront for the fun factor

From reading the fourm, it seems a likely mod path for the 2.5i to get just a tad more umph out of it would be the following.

Injen CAI intake
KartBoy ShortShifter + bushings
Possibly some better equal length headers (not sure if this is necessary on a 06 as they already come equal length)
Bigger sways front + rear + endlinks
SS brake lines (goodrich?)

Unfortunally reading up on the fourm has yeilded a lot of vendors that are located out in the states. Generally how hard is it to locate these parts locally or at least in canada. While I know a lot of places down in the states do have great prices (ensp with our exchange rate now), getting "large" packages like sway bars shipped through customs just seems expensive and clumsy to me.

This car will be strictly a daily driver and will see no track/autocross time at all. The goal is a stock looking car that is a tad "nicer" drive on a daily basis and occationally can be taken out for some fun. I want the car to be as quiet as possible while still being able to free up some HP. Since this car is a daily driver and expected to last a long time (10 years), i'm trying to advoid any big power mods (turbo and possibly even cams). If you have any other suggestions, comments, feel free... i'm all ears

TIA

Hi Jonney boy....I went through the same stuff a couple of years ago and opted for an RS (2002) mostly to avoid turbos and higher operating costs. Higher insurance...high octane gas $$$ and higher theft ratings on WRXs did it for me.

So, I bought a new 2002 RS and did the following mods...K&N air filter, PDM Racing cold air intake (Located in Burnaby) Subaru SPT cat back exhaust, 20mm WRX "wagon" rear sway bar with Whiteline end links, decambered front suspension to -1 degree, Whiteline front strut brace. I run it on 17" Enkei rims with Kuhmo ASX tires(225/45/17)I also added an OEM WRX wing, OEM fog lights and Hella driving lights and a few personal items inside.

This car looks, runs, and handles great......gets better than stock gas mileage.

It's a great way to enjoy a Subaru without spending the big $$$$

PDM Racing in Burnaby and Rocket Rally in Squamish have everything you will need

"Try it ...you'll like it"

That's what happens when you wash your car on a cold day...Condensation inside the plexi covers...too lazy to take them off ....It goes away as soon as I drive a few blocks
