Default Wheel/Tire Storage

Is it okay to leave my summer wheels/tires stacked in the garage or will this cause any problems because of moisture etc?

I stack mine on top of each other, but on a pallet so the concrete doesn't get them wet.

2 bay/1 door, concrete floor, 1/2 of garage is for storage. One of the windows is broken so outside air and sometimes snow/rain can get in. Also, my parents have the bad habbit of leaving the door open for long periods of time (i.e. they usually forget to close it). Hope that gives you an idea.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what kind of moisture would be bad for stored tires? Atmospheric moisture? Or sitting in wet puddle moisture? You wouldn't think rain would harm much (more than the UV rays of the sun). And what time frame are we looking at? Can damage be caused simply by storing it for one season? I didn't think so

Anyway, I have mine sitting flat in an enclosed garage on a piece of cardboard so that it doesn't sit directly on the concrete floor. Plus they're in these things:

When I get a second set of rims I'm planning on buy a tire/wheel stand.
