Default 95 legacy exhaust options

i'm looking to upgrade my 95 legacy sedan exhaust in the near future.
is there any oem exhaust that can be made to work? the wrx exhaust would be nice, and i wouldnt mind cutting it up and rewelding it if it wasnt perfect. (i fit a wrx axle-back on my impreza by doing that).
any suggestions? seen anyone do it?

impreza exhaust will work if you want to make it work (with some welding) however, you need to think about the diameter of the piping also. What is the stock WRX diameter? If its 2.25" or less, then it should be ok.

Turbo exhaust also doesn't have to do as much muffling (less backpressure) as N/A exhaust does, so it will probably be a lot louder.

by impreza you mean gc8 impreza or wrx impreza?

i'm not too worried about the noise, and as far as sizing, i'm staying n/a although i am doing a 2.5 swap.

I'm not sure, but the gc8 and wrx catbacks are probably the same.

Just get a shop to bend the pipes and weld it up. I'm getting midas to do mine next week. $120 for all pipes bent and welded. I'm supplying the muffler. Pipes are going to be crush bent, but the bends aren't too extreme, so I'm not worried. Plus, the crush bends, if anything, will add a little backpressure. An OEM anything will not add sound really. Unless you get an STi exhaust, and even that won't do too much.

why would you want backpressure?

CN for link: Backpressure doesn't result in torque, it results in a more restricted exhaust flow. Period.

I have to know mark, how many hours do you spend on the internet. You're a sponge. Someone could ask what material the reflectors in a 92 legacy JDM model are made of and you would know. Good read, and it mentioned the WRX exhaust as fitting. Hmm.... Nevermind what I said.

I put in a magnaflow exhaust. It sounds great. No too loud when driving around town, but on WOT combined with my Weapon R intake - it sounds like a beast!
It has an 2.25" inlet pipe.

If you want it louder, have the muffler shop take out the resonator.
The muffler cost about $75 on ebay and about $80 for the custom pipe bending (Cat to exhaust), welding and installation.

www.stromung.com also has an OEM fit axleback exhaust for our cars, but the dude wanted $400 for it!

yeah i'm looking for something a touch larger (more for flow than sound) and definetly cheap. i dont really want any crush bends and nobody around here does mandrels. i can always have a magnaflow welded on later if i want a bit more sound.
