Did you ask for the heavyweight? Or do they only have the lightweight redline?

I'm planning on adding an extra component to my uncle Scotty mix and just pumping it all in with a power filler. After the transmission is done I should have enough left over for the rear dif. Can I just use the rest of my mix in the rear dif or should I use something else straight?

The cocktail they sell comes with lightweight.

http://www.grimmspeed.com/catalog/pr...products_id=76

Edit: I'm gonna call and ask if they have the heavyweight. If not, I'll order elsewhere

And why should you be special just because you found a few gear oils that have a high molybdenum content that go together well. Trust me, I did research, but at the same time I'm not reading a complete 200 page thread. I'm far too busy actually working on cars to have time to go through and read 200 pages of people bitching at each other. So now that you've proven yourself to be a dick, have a nice day

1) Take a deep breath
2) Pour yourself a drink
3) Relax on a recliner
4) Avoid NASIOC

Oh, and if people ask questions like "can I put the cocktail into my rear diff" just tell them to RTFM.

it is YOU who have not helped YOURSELF

YOU fail to see that YOU are responsible for searching and finding your own answers and WE are not bad in any way, here

YOUR ASSumption that YOU will get spoon fed here is just that, an ASSumption on YOUR part

sad to see such an attitude here by these n000bs....sad indeed

How about you look at your tech manual for your car and see if the diff runs the same fluid as your tranny. Yes, Scotty is kind of a dick, but the number of questions in here easily answered by a quick google search, I don't blame him. And your answer is in his link. Good luck with the "spoon-feed-me" attitude. BTW, the 2nd or 3rd link down under ClubWRX has your answer.

By the way, I'm not looking to be spoon fed either. It would just be nice if after I ask a question after I have already done some research, I would get a productive answer instead of a bunch of people jumping on me telling me I'm an idiot and telling me to **** off. All I did was ask a question, I didn't try to start a fight or anything. If you don't want to be helpful in any kind of way in a technical forum and you just want to start fights then don't post.

Do you even know what spoon fed means? If you did your own research you wouldn't have had to ask here in the fist place. Or you could have read the manual that came with your car. O Googled that too. If you think that is too difficult you should pay someone else to work on your car and be done with it. Put effort in, get effort out.

So this manual to my car that everyone keeps mentioning. I'm sure it specifies a mix of gear oils in the transmission right?

Question

Went to my local Oreilly's auto store to look for the fluids. I'm confused a little bit...cocktail says Castrol HypoyC 80w-90 but as seen in the photo below, the 80-90 isn't HypoyC? Which one do I buy?

They're both the same thing. HypoyC was rebadged as axle limited slip. If get the one that's actually labeled axle limited slip just to be on the safe side though.
