Bwuahahahaha

1. Looks like the Owners Bible or Maintenance File
2. I have the pin outs from Subaru and they do not match up to published books. Suby is right News Mook is wrong and trust me I found that out the HARD way!! Your O2 and your Throttle sensor will most likely be reversed!!

holy crap!!! what ecu is the one on the bottom wit hthe three plugs? That is the same plugs/pins as my 1.8L harness..... anybody see what I am trying to get at? WOuld it work if I rearranged the wires and added the few I needed (probably boost control I am guessing.)

ej18 plugs are physically identical to EJ20k. the branch design and setup of the harness are quite a bit differnt, id say its possible but not very probable or easy to convert. youll have to do boost and map sensor, ignitor style is really close (both are waste spark). EJ20K bits are the most rare to come by imo, actually im on the hunt for some. the motor has 2 arms in the back and 2 that connect to the side by the battery that run the engine harness, it would be considerably hard to adapt a ej18 harness to the K elecs and ecu.

haha. yes. ej20 g and k have compatible heads (intake manifold wise) so you can go 90 deg side inlet turbine or straight k style. wrx version 1-4 manifold are compatible.

so all ej20g version 1-4 and ej20K v3/4 would be compatible.

no idea on 22b. i think i can find a legacy TT diagram, i have a hunch of where to find....

pretty sure the 22b is a V4 basically. same intake manifold IIRC when i saw one up close.

the block is different however, and Monson knows more about this, but it is a PHASE II 2.2 liter block. heads i would assume would be very close to V4 R or RA (probably RA, has better cams)

and i also agree. K series are very hard to find parts for.....

Isn't a v4 a Phase I engine? If it's a Phase II it would have to be a v5 right?

Wow ,
This is what I've been looking ,I think! I am doing the STI conversion from a GF8 into my 97 L coupe. I've never worked on a scooby before so please excuse my ignorance but how would I know that this pinout + diagram will work with the set up I have. I'm so use to doing cossy's and audi's where the engine harnasses are seperate not integrated, especially the cossy's. Not so much the audi's but easier then the suby none the less. I don't want to make a mistake just in case they chaged something in different years or models. I am a little lost by only having the wrx and RS pdf's, I don't want to blow the mines computer that came with this clip. So if anybody could send me in the right direction ie( how to use the vins or part numbers to verify it) I would really appreciate it.
Cheers,
Chris

Default Mass Air Flow Wiring

Hey Guy Got My Motor Started Its A 1995 Ej20h But I Snipped On Of The Wires While Clenaing Up It Sth E Black And Red One Coming Off The Mass Air Flow I Found Where I Thought It Went To A Larger Black And Red That Went To The Ecu And Was A Ground

But If I Probe The Mass Airflow While Engine Is Warm I Get No Output At All Specs Say About 1 Volt I Get 0volt

Has 12v Into It And Has Ground

I Ordered A New Mass Airflow But Maybe Ut Has Something To D O With Black And Red Wire I Reconnected

The pinouts are from the Tuning Bible for Subys, however they are not that correct as stated before. I have the actual books from Subaru for the EJ20G and K and they dont match up, total pita to realize this in the middle of a build!!!
