Unhappy How fast am i going!!

I put 225/45/16s on my stock tires...is my speedometer off a lot now? Becuase obviusly there is now a change in diameter so the mileage, speedometer, and gas consumption has changed...

can anyone offer any good advice?

I think it takes it off 9-10% if i remember right

My 205/45/16s weren't even 10%.

hmmm i got 3.6%

"when your speedo reads 60mph you are actually travelling 57.8"


Are we reading the same thing and putting in the same numbers?

If your 205/45/16s were off by less than 10%, then 225/45/16s should be off by even less...math is your friend!!

Edit: I see we calculated the actual difference.

Which would be why I was laughing at the guy who said 225/45 was 9-10% off...reading comprehension is your friend!!
