Default rim repair??

I have a '03 WRX. I just hit a metal pipe in the road. It put a small dent on the inside of the stock 16", rim right where the tire seals.

Is this something that can fe fixed or is a new rim the only option??

thanks,

Probably can be fixed, but it's probably cheaper to buy a new wheel. If it was a STI wheel it might not be cheaper.

Just saw on another forum here that the tirerack sells wrx take-off wheels for $88.00 each.

Well that tirerack thread is over two years old, although they may still sell those wheels.
There are wheel repair places that can fix it or exchange it for another used/repaired wheel, but given how cheap these wheels are used you're probably better off looking around for another one. Post a wanted thread in your local forum and check the private classifieds, chances are you will find one fairly easily.

Try these guys:

When I worked at the car dealership, we used these guys for OEM wheel repair and replacement. Great company, fast turn-around time, and they were good to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to call them if I had a wheel issue.

Also not a bad idea to try the yellow pages for rim repair. Usually, those guys do good work and are fairly inexpensive. Or if you were like me, you would use that as a good excuse to get a nice set of aftermarket rims.
