Impressive, I love those wheels! Makes it a whole different car.

What kind of suspension did you go with?

I got the Apex racing coilovers. They are set at only a 1.4" drop for now...the car would look better with another .5" or so drop. But I plan on leaving it at this height.

Nope, won't tint it. If I did tint it, in Jersey I can only get away with the 3 rear windows. And to me, it looks silly done this way.

I have had too many run-ins with the po-po when I had tint on other cars. In my part of Jersey, the cops love to bust tint jobs. Just not worth it for me.

Some more lovin:

And my 60mm electronic Greddys:

Where did you get your Defi gauge pod?? I tried to get one of those for a month with no luck. Do you find it easy to read the gauges while driving?

Alright now this doesn't have much to do with anything but exactly how is greddy and defi pronounced?? I have never heard these names spoken aloud by anyone I could trust.

Thanks

Only the rear three???? You're right, ick! Might i suggest running, not walking out of Jersey?
Are you going to put a body kit on? I haven't seen a white with body kit yet. The Subaru oem kit would look tight if you got it all colormatched instead of having the black front lower lip.

I know Greddy is pronounced greh-dee. Defi I have heard two ways...

I always said De-figh (just like defy).

But have heard others say De-fee.

Not exactly sure.

I got my pod off another i-club member a few months back. He bought it with plans to use it, and then decided he wasn't going to need it right away. He overnighted it to me (before he even received my check to pay for it). Helluva nice guy...think his name was Scott.

Very nice Greddy's. I like the CF trim on a white car too, funny cause it never appealed to me before.

I'm pretty sure that defi is japanese brand right?

then the correct way to pronounce it is "deh-fy"

just like mugen is moo-ghen, not mew-gen

Great lookin' car!!! White and Silver are definitely the BEST looking colours for Imprezas!!!

The only thing is it looks like the guage pod is set up for the RHD instrument panel. Is it sort of facing the right??? Either way it looks great!!!

All you WRX guys are making me REALLY want to trade in the RS and go turbo...damn ou guys...

I'd go white wagon if I did with anthracite P1 or some other wheel like that.

The gauges are facing directly towards the rear...they are not angled either direction. It looks a little deceiving because the gauges are so large.

"FI" is not a syllable in Japanese.
the closest syllable is "HI," pronounced "hee."

it could still be a Japanese company, but it's not a Japanese word, because only foreign words would contain the sound "FI" if it was pronounced "fee," so it is probably not pronounced like a Japanese word.

so my guess it is pronounced like *defy*.

anybody else know better?
just my guess....

by the way, niiiiice ride.... VERY clean.... love the gauges....

peace,
mak

I would like some more info of your suspension. What do you think of it, does it make noises, does the car ride hard, how much$$, things like that.
thanks

See if I can answer some of the questions:

Price, $1300 from TRi Tuning.

The coilovers make no noise from what I can hear. I have heard that some coilovers (mainly sleeve type) that make some noise, but these are super quiet. Sound like stock to me.

Ride quality depends on the settings on the rebound. I have the car at 9 front, 11 rear right now, and it's pretty stiff. It actually seems to handle the choppy roads better than stock. Quick, jarring bumps are more pronounced, but remember I have 225/40/18 tires also. When the rebound was set lower, it was almost smooth as stock!

Due to it being stiffer, it does give some of the 'shaken baby' syndrome that some people mentioned when they installed the DMS coilovers. Roads that used to seem smooth now cause some oscillation in the car, because the car is following the TRUE surface, every undulation. The stock suspension masks all that.

I love it so far. The lack of diving/lifting alone is enough for me to love it. Car is so much flatter, and in 'touch' with the road.

Hope this helps! Anyone in the south Jersey area that wants a ride to see how it feels, I will gladly try to help out.
