Default junkyard god

I was just wandering, how much you think an impreza engine could go for from a junk yard. I was doing some searching and came upon an impreza in good shape overall just missing front bumper, and notice under the hood there seemed to be a jdm motor n/a, (not too sure). try to get pics up tomorrow. also here the vin if some one can run it through for me JF1GM235XSK403406

JDM NA motor? you mean a usdm motor? haha
all the NA is about thesame. unless theres a EJ20G converted to NA, or a freak EJ20R somehow made it into the bay...... or they swapped the ej18 for a ej20 NA sohc.

post pictures!

My experience has been the complete opposite. Ej22t longblock for $100. Leggy turbo x-member for $15. Rear braked with hubs for $40. etc. etc.

I would be interested to see pictures of this engine. You never know what you might find. As more and more JDM engines make their way into these cars all kinds of things can turn up. My guess is that it is a phase I Ej20 sohc that was used as a replacement engine at some point. They are pretty available from importers and are really only different from the Ej22E in their discplacement...

95-97 offered a 1.8L coupe. 96 and 97 were labeled as a 'brighton'
