Default something worng with car again. i think engine is burning coolant.

today morning i went for a drive. i noticed the engine getting a little hot according to the stock coolant guage. i popped the hood to check it out. it was to my surprise to find there was no coolant in the reservoir. after i let the engine cool down a bit i filled the coolant till it was halfway to full. turned the car back on and went for another drive. car was fine. coolant normal. no white smoke comming from exaust no leaks under the car. so not sure whats up. i'll check again in a couple days. do you guys think i should bring my car into the dealer for a check? knowing them they'll probably try to blame the problem on my intake or exaust

What part of Canada are you from. If you are from the Toronto area, take it to Marino's Fine Cars and tell them that you are with the Toronto Subaru Club. They won't bother you about the intake and exhaust.

They are the sponsor dealer for the club and they treat club members with a little extra special care. (Self authorizing for warranty work too, I think) Anyways, they vowed to do their best for us. Oh yeah, 15% discount on everything, parts & labour.

Cool eh!

I had similar problem. It turned out the radiator cap wasn't holding pressure. I cleaned the seals, and it was fine after that.

Possible this might be your problem.
