Default New Crawford 2.5 S2

Ok here is the deal,

I installed the 2.5 S2 block, STI injectors, and gutted the stock up pipe and down pipe. Im getting a check engine light from the O2 sensor. I also had it all check by a mechanic everything was mechanicaly sound except for this O2 reading. The Problem im having is that its shuttering at high RPMS. Im planning on getting the UTEC and working on tuning it and i just wanted to get input to see if that was most likely my problem.

Thanks for any ideas

jim

You can't just swap the block and injectors and expect the car to run right. You definatley need engine management. You are probably running real rich. What was the exact CEL code?

I understand that it wasnt going to run right i was just curious if anyone was having a similar problem. Thats why i said im planning on remapping the ECU. Ok the actual code is P0420 Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold. Can that be fixed with the tuboXS UTEC? just curious

The cel is from removing the cats. It has no impact on performance. Back when I had a UTEC it could not turn off specific cel's it simply turned off the light on the dash leaving the codes in the ecu. Things may have changed since. Do a search for "mechanical cel fix". There is a real easy way to get rid of it by using two spark plug antifoulers.

the antifoulers are 2.50 at autozone and require no wiring.
