Default ej20g head removal\ gasket replacement, engine out!

94 jdm wrx ej20g

I have been told there is a special way of removing the heads, taking the bolts off in a certain sequence or something.

I have never torn my engine apart at this level. I need to replace my head gaskets, the engine is out. And I'm ready to get to work, what do I need to know?

THanks!

Another one for the archives...

Be aware, you will need the JDM head gasket. If you haven't ordered one yet, get your order placed. They generally take a few weeks to get. Sometimes some of the US vendors stock them. I know Rallispec has had them a few times. If you use the thin USDM gasket you will have interference issues. Or order them special in the proper thickness from Cometic...
