Default My car is back at home, all is well!

Thank you McRee for your help. I feel so much better now knowing the car is safe again. I'm sure we'll be doing business again soon, ...hopefully not on the STi.
The problem ended up being something so simple, yet causing such a disaster. A PCV line I had run was crimped and not letting anything through, causing a pressure build-up. Oil had nowhere to go, but back into the intake manifold, my IC pipes, and out of the dipstick. What a mess it caused, but fortunately the compression tests and leak down tests came out pefect.
Now it's back to cleaning, hopefully it will be ready for this weekend. I'll most likely be spending most of the day Saturday doing this, and driving the Pilot for the Scavenger Hunt, ...unless a Subaru is mandatory, then so be it.
A few more shows, a few more months, a few more payments, and the STi goes up for sale.
Greg

I will not be purchasing another Impreza (three was enough). ...Although the 06 had finally grown on me.

I'm still undecided on what will be next, most likely either a SUV and the purchase of a "fun, weekend car", or a nice sport/luxury sedan (leaning towards another Subaru, ...thanks to Barry's loaner)

glad to hear it was nothing huge. Enjoy having it for the rest of the time you do, and hopefully you'll end up staying in the suby community with your next purchase!
