Wow... I just got back from hitting some of my favorite roads and such. This car is very nice. I am trying to stay under the 4000rpm limit, so I didn't do anything crazy, but tried to play with the car in that power band. The car understeers a whole lot less than I was expecting. In fact I was able to pitch the rear end out with little problems. Nothing crazy, but very cool. The car is also kind of deceptive on how much grip it has. I know some have complained about body roll, and while it does roll a bit more than I am used to (00 Celica GT-S with full TRD japan suspension upgrade... pretty stiff stuff), it still sticks quite well. The stock tires are the limiting factor in the setup, but hey they wont be around much longer. I can not comment on acceleration so much as I am trying to be kind in the break in period. There seems to be plenty of torque in the low RPM range (again remember what I am stepping out of a 00 Celica GT-S) and I don't find that it is too hard to get moving from a stop without a lot of gas. The flywheel is just heavy! You can really feel it on shifts through the driveline. While it is nice that it stores so much inertia off the line, it really has to cause the transmission some problems in the long run. The stereo upgrade (speakers and sub) are well... ok. I feel that the system is too muddy for my ears. Bass is not really defined, Mids are muddy, and the tweeters are not as crisp as a quality aftermarket set. The tone controls are not much help in this area, a eq might help, but I think the problem lies in the speakers and the quality of the amp. The 6 disk unit is kind of cool. I like not having to go to the trunk to change disks, but I could do with out a tape player. Tapes, what are those?

I am very pleased. No, I am very excited by this car. T - 900 miles and counting.

Nathan - by now you should be able to push it huh??? You're probably WAY over the 1000 MI. break in period.

Congrats and I just have to say one (ok two...) things to ALL you WRX owners...

"must be nice" & "it'll be better when SOA brings over the STi and I get one and you guys are bummed you didn't wait...heeheh"

I took me 2 days to break in my new RS. It only had 79 miles off the lot!

You will love the car. It is hell to stay under 4,000 rpm's the first 1,000 miles I slipped up a few times though and only have 100 more to go and I am there. Congrats and good luck.
