OMGHi2U I just made coffee with 6-month old Folgers from an open can

Wish me luck!

I didn't have time to go to the store this morning, so I had to scrounge for something at home. I pulled out this old can of Folgers and sure enough the lid wasn't even on tight. We'll see how it tastes in a few minutes.

If the can stays sealed, how long is coffee good for? Is it kind of an indefinite thing? I have like a 2 year old can of Cafe du Monde` from new orleans that i'm dying to crack open. Nothing like the smell of the MS river while enjoying a Cafe au Lait.

A week or two at most. Coffee is highly sensitive to oxidation.

Well, it wasn't too bad. Not too good, either. It had pretty much no flavor, but looked ok. Oh well, hopefully it still has caffeine in it.

Even worse! This has not been a good coffee week for me. I ran out earlier and had to bum some 1/2 caffeine Folgers, and now this.
