Default Little help on the ole EJ20K

Yesterday as I started to head up a hill with a little over a quarter of a tank the car started to jerk like it was experiencing fuel starvation. I thought it was a little high but since my meter hasn't gone below a quarter tank before and as I was headed uphill, I thought it might be time for a fill-up. I hit the gas station at the top of the hill and it tops off at 9 gallons. So I don't think I was out of fuel, but I hoped the mysterious problem would go away. Well it didn't still this morning it's jerky at low speeds and feels like fuel starvation again! Any suggestions on what it could be?

The socks looked clean when I last saw them a couple of months ago. I'll check the filter when I get home. It just seems wierd that this started all of a sudden.
