Default help me choose! utec or cobb ap!

Okay everyone,
So the time has finally come to start putting on some power mods into my ol' 2002 WRX sedan.
I just need some helps choosing a UTEC or a Cobb AP.

Right now these are the mods installed and/or they are on the way.
There are more installed, but the list below are the only ones that I think would apply to which engine managment to buy:

1) Perrin 3" catback
2) Godspeed 3" downpipe
3) Bosal or Perrin catless uppipe (check out my other thread if you want to help me decide between those two!)
4) Perrin turbo inlet (stock sized)
5) Perrin MAF tube
6) Perrin flat panel filter in stock airbox
7) GP Moto silencer delete
8) Samco Radiator hoses
9) Crucial T-stat
10) Crucial radiator cap
11) Greddy oil catch can

I'm running a ton of suspension, chassis, & drivetrain mods as well.
I plan on running the stock turbo, injectors, and fuel pump for another few months at least.

The next step I want to do is a VF34, 565cc injectors, and a walbro fuel pump. Pretty much the standard path to Stage 4.

I also have been thinking about the Perrin EBCS for controlled boost, but i'm not sure if the Cobb AP by itself can support it.

So basically, until I can afford to go to Stage 4 and can buy Street Tuner (or can pay for a ProTune)
Will the Cobb AP work for what I want it to do for now with the mods listed above?
Or should I look into the UTEC?

Thanks everyone for your help (in advance!)

Either would be fine if you're talking about Cobb AP with a protune or street tuner.

i chose cobb because of the versatility with the whole storage and switching of multiple maps and whatnot. depends on what kinds of tuners are close to you though. you will benefit the most by getting a 'pro' tune job over an off the shelf map any day.

Either one with a wideband and knowlege of tuning would rock.......no wideband and/or tuning knowlege =

For your mods, I'd do a UTEC if you're talking about the standard AP.

I have to admit I'm still very new to tuning as well.
I like the idea of being able to switch maps (and that security mode map on the Cobb AP would be useful).
On the other hand, the UTEC is twice as much.
Basically, I guess I need to know which one will have the least amount
of a learning curve.
If I buy the Cobb AP now then I wouldn't get ST or a PT until I'm ready to do the turbo upgrade.
Will those upgrades be safe on one of Cobb's Stage 2 base maps?

If Perrin MAF tube = Perrin big MAF then the AP Stg2 map will not work.

Nope, not the Perrin Big MAF.
I don't think it'd be worth it for a VF34, VF22, or a Deadbolt TD05-H.
I could be wrong though...
Should I invest in the Big MAF now and save it until I can get a bigger turbo and a Protune?
Or just get the stock sized one so I can get a smoother airflow right now?
