It's fine.

Go ahead.

I ran stock CBE until I added an STi axleback, but I'm still running the stock intermediate pipe. Lots of people have the setup you're referring to.

I bought the Stromung axle-back first, went Stage 1, then got the Cobb DP and the Stromung mid-pipe (2.5 inch) to get rid of that resonator, went Stage 2, and it's heaven. Sounds like a Porsche Carrera...

The Stromung mid-pipe is only about 150 bucks, btw.

the mid pipe should not become a restriction with stage 2.

I forget where I got it - a W. Coast dealer, I believe, just do a google. It got a good bit louder when I went Stage Two, but I replaced UP, DP, and mid-pipe at the same time (had axle-back with stage one) so lost two cats and a resonator and picked up a high-flow cat in the UP.

It's a great sound - not intrusive, but all business.

2.5 inch only becomes a restriction at over 300 hp . 2.5 inch is great at keeping your torq at low rpms
