true enough. i watched an episode of top gear today where the three of them each bought a mid-engined 70's italian supercar for <$10k sterling and more than one of them had flip-ups which didn't work properly.

now that i think of it, what WAS the logic behind the flip up headlight?? i mean, sure, it gives the car a nice, smooth line on the nose.... during the daytime only..... i dunno,

Rx-7 were not released in the us after 1994, which had the fewest number made with only a couple thousand.

Yeah, real JDM. They've been around on Corvettes for 40 years and various Pontiacs nearly as long.

If I had a Miata with flip-ups, I'd want to do a conversion to the 2 smaller lamps in each housing. It doesn't flip up as much. Anybody ever see those? FishGuy? GTF?

if i didn't drive the car on the street the head lights would be gone and I would run an intake to the head light hole

they suck, add drag, and stop worknig before anythign else. I had em on my 240sx, and they worked, but they were annoying. Not to mention it made it seem like I was looking through a gun scope when driving at night.

I think it is pretty funny when a corvette drives by with just one stuck open.

I loved my old Prelude with the flip up lights, that car was just plain fun.
