Hey guys, this is Adam. Lovin the new car. Been out driving around all day. Fun in the twisties as they say. Still getting used to the clutch, as it's much stiffer than the Honda. I'll be around.

I used to auto X in florida, but it's been over a year now since I moved so I really don't want to miss again this year.
Any info would be appreciated, so thanx in advance. I would like to find out about solo 1 events as well and any clubs and so on.

The answer was no - couldn't find anything cheaper at the time for the STi.

Both of these manufacturers make lightweight forged aluminum wheels. Forged wheels are lighter and stronger than regular cast aluminum.

Hahah heres mine from 1/2002. 2 cars ago, obviously.

Hey all, I'm currently a ClubSi member, looking to grab a silver WRX wagon in the coming months. Any pointers in dealing/etc are appreciated. I am in Southern California.

Here are pics of my current car:
http://members.home.net/gifford7

Also, I drove one with a boost guage and it was in mPa instead of PSI ... what does mPa mean??

How does the 'upgraded' stock stereo sound with the sub?? I am basically looking for a no-fuss decent sounds stereo. I do not want to spend like 1500$ on a good stereo like my last car. Just a nice clean sound with a little bass.

What options do you recommend getting from the factory and which from somewhere like subaruparts.com?? How good is the factory 'alarm-upgrade' ... ???

Thanks in advance!!!

"Hey Makofoto, Congrats on the removal. I have been trying to get the UK style rack for my GF wagon. Every dealer I talk to says crap I don't want to hear . Would you be so kind as to measure the distance between the mounting studs so I can see if the new style will even come close to the old style rack please. Thanks."

Talking about roof racks. Was never able to score on one.

subaru opt. sub response

got my new impreza monday. no doubt, stock sound sucks. i was wondering if anyone has opted for the premium sound upgrade and how it sounded, and more specifically, what is the frequency response of the under-seat subwoofer since i haven't been able to find any info on that. reason i'm considering opting for the package instead of custom components is i'll be working for a scuby dealer in about 3 weeks - so .... hopefully i'd get some kind of deal.
Fortunately ... the Legacy was not afflicted with the horrible stock sound the Impreza was ... the Legacy still isn't great, but it's not bad. And I didn't get the sub for the Impreza, but did get it for the Legacy.

I still have never owner a Subaru. Got outta college, still haven't bought a new car, and I graduated 4 years ago. Damn I am getting old, or feeling old anyway.

What do you all like most and least about your subaru?

My nine-year old honda when I posted this is now ~14, and no longer anywhere remotely mistakable for anything close to new. Wish I still had it.

Dammit ... new rule: Don't post unless you joined prior to 2004. Cuz it isn't interesting to see the newbies. I want to see what the old schoolers posted way back when.
