Default I will be very interested if...

The HID conversion kit (a 9007 HID bulb) I have on now can be used with the morettes housing!!!

Can anyone verify if I can still use this or do I have to throw it away?

I say morette your car with TWIN HIDS!! No need for auxilary lighting. (I know, I know, HID's can't charge fast enough for an highbeam setup, but could you imagine how bright those would be).

Thumbs up

I am interestd in a set. If someone gets a group buy together count me in. Isn't there another brand besides Morette? One thing I am worried about is the way they would look with the stock fog lights. I would like something to replace them with also, like the ones I have seen on the B4.

-- Crazy Ken, Unfortunately, your 9007 HIDs will not work with the Morettes, as they use a H1 low beam. Fortunately, you should have no problem selling them to a WRX owner as they too use 9007 bulbs. You may also want to try eBay, HID kits are selling for much higher than you can buy them from a competative dealer.

I will post pics of my ride once my Morettes finally arive and are installed. I am very interested in the covers that zx2boy mentioned. Has anyone every seen these or have any pics? Thanks.

-- Crazy Ken,

Yes, HID kits are available for H1 applications. I have seen them sell on eBay for as little as $375. The average price on the Web that I have found for them is around $500. Beware, some retailers are selling kits that are considered "universal," meaning that they have to be modified by the buyer to fit specific applications. All of the quality HID kits are bulb specific. I think I am going to try some Catz Galaxy White H1 bulbs in my Morettes when they come, but I may also consider buying H1 HIDs if I decide the Morettes need them. Good luck!

Post Morrettes?

I'd be interested in getting a set of these for my 98 GT, but hve serious doubts I will if they are not DOT. I don't need any other reasons to get pulled over. Are they DOT? If not why aren't they, and what can be done if anything to make them DOT legal?

They sure look mean!

--zx2boy:

Did your Morettes come with a wiring diagram? How dificult was it to hook them up? What kind of bulb do you use in the low/high beams? They sound like they are pretty bright. What wattage are your bulbs? Thanks!!

Unfortunately, Challenger Deep said they are no longer doing business, for an unspecified period of time. I will have to find the covers for them somewhere else.
