Default Forester XT and UTEC

I was wondering if I purchased a used STi UTEC for my FXT (TXS website lists as interchangeable) do I need a model year specific or are all UTECs the same, just need to download/tune to mod/car specific? I would think that some comparisons could be done WRX<->Sti maps secondary to FXT=TDO4 to get a baseline......Or, hell just wait for the TDO6-18G and get a tune

Thx for your time

Thx for the input...I will call them Monday

FYI: This is what is under Forester XT on the TXS website....

"STI/FXT UTEC..... After having great success with the WRX UTEC, we now offer an STI UTEC for your 2004-2005 USDM STI. We have brought back the great features that we added and incorporated into the WRX UTEC to the STI UTEC. "

The MY 04-05 seems to be compatible.... Or, still MY specific....

Thx for your time
